Merlot Marketing has been named agency of record for O.C. Communications, one of the largest cable and communications equipment installers in Northern California with locations in Washington, Arizona, Utah and Oregon. The national public relations, branding and social media agency maintains a diverse portfolio of business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients in a variety of industry categories.

“Engaging Merlot Marketing as our agency of record is a culmination of an ongoing collaboration over the past two years,” said Craig Freeman, President of O.C. Communications. “We trusted the Merlot team to help us refresh and articulate our brand in 2015, launched a new website with them in 2016, and we now have confidence in their ability to help elevate our presence and authority in the digital space.”

Wired-to-Work

In close partnership with O.C. Communications, Merlot Marketing will manage all facets of strategic development and integrated content marketing including planning, execution and engagement. Merlot will oversee content creation, curation, copy, management, coordination, posting, engagement, monitoring, reporting and graphics on the company’s key social media platforms.

“We are honored that O.C. Communications selected our agency to showcase its reach, activities and company culture during an exciting time of expansion,” said Debi Hammond, CEO of Merlot Marketing. “As the business continues to grow, we’re confident that its unique approach to team development and performance will strike a chord with current and future employees while positioning the brand for continued success.”

In Northern California, O.C. Communications handles two-thirds of the installations for all cable operators. Its clients include multibillion-dollar enterprises such as Comcast, Charter Communications, Time Warner Cable, AT&T and Verizon. The business serves name brands including Hilton Hotels, professional sports teams, the U.S. military and the State of California.

With locations across Arizona, California, Utah, Oregon, and Washington, O.C. Communications installs over 115,000 miles of cable each year—enough to encircle the world more than four times—yet still manages to maintain the highest quality-of-service numbers, such as an on-time arrival rate of 98 percent.
