Facebook Tip of the Week: Interact with Your Fans

Monitor your Facebook page, checking at least once a day for comments and questions from fans. Be sure to respond to every comment and question as soon as possible. Even a simple “thank you” and “liking” a positive comment goes a long way. What makes social media different from traditional media is the ability to have a two way conversation. Capitalize on that! Everyone likes being valued for their opinions, and your fans will appreciate the opportunity to tell you what they think. If someone posts something negative on your page, consider it an opportunity to fix a problem or change their mind. Be careful not to become defensive or say something out of anger, and read what you’re writing out loud before you post it.
